Travels of Noodin

One to Four Day gathering events offered when traveling


.Traveling is anytime doing programs away from home, be it, across the street or across the country.

An example of ceremony that can be arranged for various groups

Sharing programs are freely offered. Gifting/donation are gratefully accepted in order for the work to go on.

Join us as Cultural Story Teller, Educator, Speaker, Author, James B Beard aka Noodin (pronounced “No-din”) and his Fire Keeper, offer storytelling, workshops, ceremony, and visiting.

Day One:

Arrival and Fire Lighting. Starting at 4pm, come when you can. Join us for ceremony and songs as we welcome Noodin and his fire keeper and they welcome us! Donations of firewood are needed to keep the fire going for the entire weekend. (Volunteer fire keepers for night watch are welcome)

Talking Circle and Teachings.  7-9pm (* or as long as people stay) Join in a Native American Talking Circle and listen to Algonquin teachings. With James B. Beard aka Noodin and his fire keeper

Day Two:

Totem Animals: Understanding Their Importance and Guidance. 1-3pm. Learn about totem animals and how to work with them on your path. With James B. Beard aka Noodin and his fire keeper

Lodge Ceremony. Sweat fire lighting 4:00 pm. Lodge entry approx 6:00 pm. (All participating are asked to be present at lighting of the fire) Take part in a traditional Sweat Lodge ceremony. Please bring an offering of tobacco (a pinch or more <smile>) ** Lodge Etiquette letter will be provided for dress code and preparation. **

Day Three:

Medicine Shield/Medicine Wheel: Four Directional Introductory Teachings. 1-3pm. Learn traditional Algonquin teachings about the Medicine Wheel and the Four Directions.  James B. Beard aka Noodin and his fire keeper

Talking Circle and Gathering at the Fire. 4pm-? Join in a Native American Talking Circle and listen to Algonquin  teachings. James B. Beard aka Noodin and his fire keeper.

Day Four:

Social Visits with Noodin and Closing Ceremony (Walk Out ceremony). Visits in the morning, Closing at 12 noon. Join with us in a ceremony to close the ceremonial fire and wish James B. Beard aka Noodin and his fire keeper well as they continue their journey.
